STEEL HEXAGONAL PORTALS (PORTANT-CABINES), 2012
Steel

These steel structures are thought of as the Portals of Transformation, part of the set in The Ball of Living Matter. Functionally, they also serve as both changing rooms for the performers, and a display for the costumes that are not in use. The hexagon is a sacred geometry which often symbolizes life, especially in honeycombs, where the shape is the most efficient way to fill space with the least amount of material.
