Danse collage
Building upon the pure shapes of Danse géométrique designs, this theme incorporates the idea of garment as collage: organic forms, lines, layers, shifting shapes. The garments shift upon facing and movement. The artists hand meets the drape of silk. Organic geometries, rather than pure ones, can be found in the bowed V of the Bateau Dress or the fin shape of the Line / Fin Dress.
Pure classic garment shapes such as tunic, skirt, backless dress, tuxedo jacket are reimagined in textural and colorful contrasts.
